The sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man will also feature covers for both the standard and digital versions of the PS5.

At the San Diego Comic-Con, Insomniac Games revealed the special PS5 console for the game, known as the limited edition Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bundle, which comes with a unique cover design and a DualSense controller.

The threat of Venom and the symbiote will be one of the most formidable challenges for the two Spider-Men in the game. Therefore, the team has designed the PS5 console and DualSense controller to reflect the intensity of the symbiote’s transformation and power. The console will showcase the symbiote’s tendrils aggressively approaching Spider-Man’s iconic symbol, threatening to consume the remaining red that shines brightly.

The symbiote’s power will have taken over the back of the PS5, while maintaining Spider-Man’s iconic white symbol. The DualSense controller will also reflect the absorption caused by the symbiote.

In addition to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and its various editions, Sony will release this bundle with a limited edition PS5 console, a unique DualSense controller, and a digital copy of the standard edition of the game. For existing PS5 owners, covers will be available for both the standard and digital versions. The DualSense controller based on the sequel will also be sold separately.

Reservations for all these products will begin on July 28th in the United States and in European countries like Spain, both on the official PlayStation store and in common retail stores. The console bundle, covers, and special DualSense controller will be available for purchase on September 1st, while Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released exclusively for PS5 on October 20th.
