Nexus 7 soon to be available in 32GB versions

Google’s flagship Nexus 7 tablet has so far only been released in 8GB and 16GB versions, but that could soon change.

A series of recent leaks all point to the same thing: a 32GB Nexus 7.

First, a snapshot on Thursday of an inventory screen from U.K.-based Carphone Warehouse listed the Asus-made Nexus 7 tablet in a 32GB flavor, alongside a Samsung Galaxy 2, though it provided no hint at a possible release date for either device.

Then, on Friday, the 32GB Nexus 7 began to pop up in all kinds of places, and one retailer even provided a tentative ship date.

Nvidia GTX 660 delayed until September the 13th

Nvidia GTX 660 delayed until September the 13th

Nvidia’s GTX 660 was originally expected to launch on September the 6th. It was then delayed to September the 12th for unknown reasons, some speculated Nvidia wanted an extra week to shift old GTX 500 series stock – GTX 570s in particular.

Now Nvidia has delayed the launch date again until September the 13th, the reason – Apple are expected to launch the new iPhone 5 on September the 12th so Nvidia doesn’t want its launch event to be overshadowed.

As a result don’t expect to see any GTX 660 reviews go live until September the 13th, unless someone breaks the NDA.

Samples of the GTX 650 are being held back by Nvidia and are not expected to be sent until September the 12th. The GTX 650 has not seen any early preview leaks because apparently Nvidia is “holding the drivers hostage” until it is ready for reviews to go online.

So it looks like this week will be an exciting week for the entry to mid range graphics card market. Keep your eyes peeled for more developments with the Nvidia GTX 660 and GTX 650 graphics cards.

In about a month for its release, the leaks about the iPhone 5 components begin to invade the web each day. Today, we turn to the native cable that will come included in the new smartphone.

This cable, as we can see, will be responsible for connecting the device with any computer that has a USB input. However, what is most striking is the small port (input) which, presumably, should fit into the new Terminal dock.

Recall, for a good long while we’ve been saying that the next iPhone from Apple will feature a new dock featuring a 8 or 9-pin connector, which will replace its predecessor that has 30 pins.

Furthermore, according to the phots, the cable could be magnetized, thus avoiding many accidents and inconveniences caused by pulling it sharply.

Its also worth noting that the photos as well show a few brands, typical in a pre-production product

Google Nexus 7 to arrive in Europe on September the 3rd

Google Nexus 7 to arrive in Europe on September the 3rd

Google’s Nexus 7 has been selling like Wildfire in North America and the UK for a few months now. Retail leaks suggest that Europe will finally get a piece of the Nexus 7 action from September the 3rd.

“The first leak came from France, along with a largely expected retail price of €249.90. France’s Fnac.com  jumped the gun and started to accept pre-orders by mistake and has later admitted, after pulling down the pre-order link but not canceling the previous orders, that the release date is scheduled for September 3rd.

There has been a report from Spain, as well as the post on Facebook by Asus Italia, but latest report from Androidnext.de puts the Nexus 7 in Saturn shops across Germany on September 3rd as well. The sales clerk told Androidnext site that 16GB Nexus 7 will be on display as of that date with a €249 price tag. Since Germany is on schedule we are pretty sure that the rest of the DACH region will follow as well.”

Pricing is largely expected to be €250 for the 16GB model and speculation suggests €200 for the 8GB model. The September the 3rd launch date conveniently coincides with the IFA event in Berlin,Germany that starts on August the 31st and ends on September the 9th.

Amazon went from being one of the strongest heavyweights of the web with respect to the sale of certain products to being also one of the heavyweights when it comes to hardware. All this was due to the launch of Kindle, its electronic reader, and then the Kindle Fire, its Android tablet that is widely used on the market.

Now it seems, at least as pointing to a rumor that comes from Bloomberg, is working on its own smartphone to fight with Apple in this market and how could it be otherwise, it is said that it will use a modified version of the Google OS. Where does this information come from ? From two sources that have crossed the site.

Apparently one that would be working with Amazon to make the phone would be manufactured by none other than Foxconn, as we have know from all the problems this company has in relations to suicides and its employees, they also works with Apple. In all of this, most companies entering this market do so, it would acquire patents covering aspects of wireless technology which could help them to fight against potential lawsuits.

A smartphone would give Amazon an even greater power and could be further strengthened, with a good business plan, the power they have in the area of ??purchasing digital books, songs and movies. In the first quarter, phone sales generated large amounts for Samsung and Apple of no less than $398 million according to a study by the IDC. Come on, who wants to stay out of such a cake.

Meanwhile from Amazon they refused to comment.

Clearly, they will deny everything until at least things are super developed and have something in view. Meanwhile, we are left to speculate and wait for potential leaks. If you ask me, I does not seem all that unusual that Amazon would be working on a new phone, especially to continue building and maintaining a spot in regards to the sale of content through its store.

Dead Space 3 Countdown appears, logo shown

What appears to the be first screenshot from Dead Space 3 has surfaced online.

It shows a character propelling themselves through a planet’s orbit in one of the series’ trademark armoroued suits. Once again, the game’s HUD is displayed on the character’s back.

The image looks to originate from the series’ official EA site, which currently shows a countdown written in an alien language. Translated, the numbers points to next Monday, when EA will hold its E3 press conference.

Yesterday that site also began teasing a new Dead Space graphic novel short, which looks like it will tie-into Dead Space 3.

The existence of Dead Space 3 comes as no surprise. Continual leaks over the past year have revealed it will be partly set on an ice planet, tie-up the story of series star Isaac Clarke and feature drop-in, drop out co-op. Expect to hear more at E3 next week.

The AMD Radeon HD 7000 are listed in the Catalyst 8.91

Previous leaks of AMD graphics drivers left it quite clear that the new generation of GPUs the company will use the name HD 7000, but the leakage produced Catalyst 8.91 has been such that it deserves to be seen in detail.

The filtered list includes both code names and distinctive series, ranging from the “AMD Radeon HD 7300 Series” upto the “AMD Radeon HD 7600 Series“.

You can check the list on this link to Vr-Zone, but let us remember a little the meaning of the terms added to the nomenclature of each model. The letter A is to be used in APUs, while Pro and XT version is identified as “low end” and “high end” of a single GPU respectively. Finally, the distinctive XTX has been recovered from the ATI X1950 that will recall more than one, were characterized by using GDDR4 memory.

With this leak it seems pretty obvious that AMD will first launch its new mid-range graphics cards. This mid-range will be based on the VLIW 4D architecture and the new GCN.
