PlayStation VR2: price, bundles and release date of the new virtual reality device for PS5
Sony has put an end to the rumors related to the release date of PlayStation VR2, its new virtual reality device for PS5. A few months ago Sony already warned that it would not be available until next year and indeed it will be, because it will go on sale on February 22, 2023.
Of course, you have some time to save a lot money to buy it, because other important details such as its price have also been confirmed. Thus, the basic pack, made up of the glasses themselves, the PS VR2 Sense controls and the headphones, will cost no more and no less than $549 USD or 599.99 euros.
Another option that will be available is that you will be able to purchase the device together with a copy of Horizon Call of the Mountain, in which case the price will rise to $599.99 or 649.99 euros. In addition, you can also get a charging station for the controls separately, in which case it will cost $49.99 or 49.99 euros.
For those who can’t wait, PlayStation VR2 reservations will open from November 15, so in a couple of weeks you will be able to buy your own glasses in advance if you are one of those who want to enter the new virtual reality worlds that Sony is preparing, which the company claims to want to “take it to another level”
PlayStation VR2 features include eye tracking, 3D audio, adaptive triggers and haptic feedback with PS VR2 Sense controllers, and a host of other features intended to deliver a unique gaming experience. For example, its screen will allow us to enjoy an HDR image of 4000×2040 (2000×2040 for each eye).
On the matter, Sony has recognized that it wanted to guarantee the maximum possible comfort to its users, so it has made an effort to create a device with a thinner and lighter design, adding a grille to further increase the airflow and a lens regulator adjustment feature so that everyone can customize it more to their liking.
Thus, we already know when PlayStation VR2 will arrive in stores accompanied by more than 20 different video games, these being the only ones that we can use on VR2, since it will not be backwards compatible with the titles of the first PlayStation VR.
